2022 SC WELCA Convention SC Women of the ELCA are gathering at convention today and tomorrow.
THEME: "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands"
Location: The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Newberry SC
Lord be with the SC Women of ELCA as we gather at convention today. Help us to find ways to serve You and the people of SC. Help us to see You in everyday things. Help us to keep our minds open to all the possibilities for personal growth and community service. Be with us as we work to help women and children in poverty, support women who want to be pastors, and as we take on issues of justice. May our gathering be fruitful. Keep our hope alive. Help us recognize your hidden promises and work to fulfill your will. Help us to show Your love by showing love to one another. Amen
Convention Project #1: Newberry College Nursing Endowment Fund
This is an opportunity to grow and support our nurses long into the future. Our goal is $10,000 and then we can continue to contribute to this fund for years to come through SC WELCA all year, every year!
Convention Project #2: Katie’s Current Fund.
Katie’s Fund will support and grow future women in the ELCA! Katie's Fund, named for Katharina von Bora Luther, the wife of Martin Luther, supports leadership development, living theology, and global connections. What a wonderful opportunity for SC WELCA to promote!
